: Why would you want to purchase stinging nettle seeds? I know it may sound flip, but this is an honest question.

Doesn't sound flip at all. Nettles have a bad reputation because hairs on the nettles' leaves contain formic acid which "stings" you.

Stinging nettles can be used to make an excellent tonic to treat your plants with. Sprays made from them are rich in silica and calcium. This stengthens plants and improves their disease resistance. You can also eat the new growth in the spring! They are wonderful for you. Loaded with minerals. Next season I am going to be including stinging nettle extract in my Golden Harvest fertilizer that I make and sell. Nettles really have "powerhouse" properties to them. There are very specific tecniques in working with them. Needless to say I do grow them in an out of the way spot :-).
