March 2006 meeting in Brownsville hosted by Romeo and Linda Montalvo
Welcome
(Please note: Placing the cursor over a picture gives you some info on it....)
This month our society met at the beautiful home and garden of Romeo and Linda Montalvo. They live in the heart of Brownsville on a gorgeous resaca lot.
Our members started arriving around noon and mingled about the gardens, socializing with one another till the meal was served. Once again Romeo and Linda went
all out providing yet another wonderful meal. All of our members enjoyed the meal and beverages as the pleasant afternoon rolled on.
After the meal society officers held a quick meeting covering such items as the treasury report, meeting vacancies and the up coming luau in May. We also
hosted an auction with donated plants. Romeo was gracious enough to conduct the auction and all seemed to have a good time.
Members also went to the site of the Brownsville botanical gardens that Romeo and Robert Robles are heavily involved with. Our society is in the process of
identifying funds to donate towards the palm garden that will be part of the gardens. Romeo gave us a nice overview of the gardens and the latest on the progress of the
project.
We hope you've enjoyed the pictorial of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you next month in Santa Elena.
