October 2000 Meeting in Santa Rosa, Texas
at Thad and Alice Magyar's Texas Tropical Paradise
aka Mango's Jungle

Great day for a picnic?

It was looking grim for those of us travelling south to the valley that day.  A torrential downpour came not from scattered clouds but from a deeply overcast sky.  Fortunately the rain stayed in Kenedy county, and skies were bright at Thad and Alice's annual meeting.

harvest moonIt was a harvest moon for our first nighttime meeting.  We hoped to hear a cacaphony of geckos, but we must have made them nervous.  They were uncharacteristically quiet that night.
