PSST conducted a raffle as a variation to the usual auction of items donated to the group.  Donated items included:  Roystonea regia, Livistona decipiens, Livistona sarabus, Trachycarpus fortunei, Zombia antillarum, Syagrus romanzoffiana, Dioon spinulosum, and a big rootball of Romeo's giant clumping bamboo (not sure quite what it is!).  Non-plant donations included two PSST t-shirts, and garden greeting cards.  Of special note, the Dioon spinulosum donations were sprouted from seeds we've received from the Montgomery Botanical Center in Florida, temporary custody held by Jim and Evelyn Sommerfrucht.  The greeting cards were a series of Texas Wildflowers by Mike Burnett and "On a Tropical Note" by Gary Meiser.

Upcoming elections were re-announced.  Ballots will be mailed to all members in the US.  Results will be announced at the July meeting.  Some of our newest members, the Creightons, volunteered to take the August meeting.  They selected August 18th for the date, and it will be held in either Bayview or Laguna Vista.  Thank you Barbara and Gordon, and welcome PSST.
