Although angelica is common in meadows and pastures throughout the country, the only one with medicinal values is archangelica. An infusion can be made by pouring a pint of water over an ounce of the bruised root. It is said to create an aversion to alcohol. It also relieves flatulence. It has been said to help in cases of delayed menstruation.
